LIFT BAR

In 2012 London Boutique Bar Show asked me to create a cocktail experience that would showcase the sponsors Tia Maria and Disaronno and create a talking point.

I wanted to create the first ever hidden bar inside a bar show, and after exploring the site I came up with the idea of turning the service lift into a miniature espresso martini bar where guest could enjoy a drink whilst riding the lift up and down.

Pairs of VIP guests were escorted to the backstage area where they entered a tiny secret bar designed to look like an Italian cafe, and were served ‘espresso coffee’ and ‘amaretti biscuit’ cocktails surrounded by the smell of fresh coffee and the sounds of a busy cafe.

Cocktails served:

• coffee liqueur foam with a spherified amaretti ‘biscuit’.
